Technology Leader • Creator • Educator

The person behind the method, the lens, and the work.

Sara Llanes has spent more than 20 years in technology leadership, enterprise transformation, and digital strategy. The throughline is not a list of roles, but a way of working: strategy, transformation, and the discipline to look closer.

Orientation

Technology leadership, creator work, and teaching in one throughline.

Sara’s path has moved from PwC’s federal practice to Capital One’s risk technology division, from Gannett and USA TODAY newsroom technology to World Vision’s nonprofit operations, and into consulting work focused on modernization, systems clarity, and high-trust transformation.

Alongside that work, she is building public-facing writing, teaching, and creative surfaces that connect theology, pattern recognition, research, and a more disciplined way of assigning meaning before decisions harden around them.

The Lens

The long-form creative counterpart to the leadership work.

The Lens is where teaching and research become cinematic public work: serious biblical scholarship, long-form instruction, visual storytelling, and carefully structured media built for depth rather than churn or spectacle.

It is best understood as more than a content channel. Teaching and research, cinematic production, and community growth all sit inside the same discipline that also drives enterprise transformation: strategic storytelling, audience-centered design, and uncompromising attention to quality.
